Everyone's help is needed to maintain an enjoyable pace of play. Do your best to implement the following Ready Golf best practices, and made them a natural part of league play
In General:
If there is a gap developing between you and the group in front of you, or the group behind your is waiting to hit, you may be playing slow
Forget about who has honors or who is further from the hole. As long as it is safe to hit your drive, your approach shot, chip or putt, play it
The maximum number of strokes played and recorded on a hole is double par
Be the first person to be ready to play
At the Tee Box:
If you are first to the tee box, tee off first
If you are uncertain which club to hit, take 2 or 3 clubs with you to the tee box to avoid going back to the cart
If a long hitter can reach those in the fairway, let the shorter hitters tee off first
In the Fairway:
If you and your cart partner hit your tee shots on opposite sides of the fairway, drop your partner off at their ball, then go to your ball (or do the opposite) so you both can play at the same time
If you and another player are on the opposite sides of the fairway, you both can play at the same time
If you hit your tee shot farther than others in your group, drop off your partner, drive to your ball, and park the cart off to the side of the fairway. This will allow others to play while staying safe. When it is safe play your ball
Cart path only nights - take 2 or 3 clubs with you if you are uncertain which club to use to avoid going back to the cart
If you know you are unable to reach the green and there are people on the green, play your ball
Around or On the Putting Green:
If you are ready to putt, let others know and putt
Once you start putting, continue putting until you putt out, or if your opponent concedes your putt
You may concede your opponent's putt when they are close to the hole
While other players are putting, you should be lining up your putt
Once you reach the green, park your cart between the green and the next tee box
If you brought extra clubs with you to the green, lay them on the green between the hole and the cart
Record your scores and place your clubs back in the bag at the next tee box
Searching for a Ball:
Stop searching for your ball after 3 minutes
If someone is searching for their ball, the other players should hit their shots before helping in the search
Casual Water and Bunkers (Sand Traps):
FREE drop when in casual water or a bunker - pick it up, drop it beside the bunker at the nearest point, not on the green, no closer to the hole
Lost Ball in casual water: NO penalty and drop a ball in fairway being played
